Synopsis

 

After working the night shift at Royal Mail’s cash security depot, Penny Black returns home to her husband, Tommy, a special force’s veteran after suffering a brutal rape at the hands of her manger, Alexander Bates.

 

A persuasive Penny convinces a reluctant Tommy to follow the judicial system.  During the investigation, Alexander prevaricates, distorting the truth, utilising his threatening demeanour and connections in convincing friends and colleagues that he and Penny, were involved in an illicit affair.  Corroborated by his influential Sandhurst trained, autocratic father, Montague, the prosecution’s case collapses leaving both Tommy and Penny disillusioned by the justice system.

 

Whilst an anxious Tommy deliberates on how next to seek his own retribution, he reluctantly leaves Penny alone for the first time since her ordeal to return to work at Royal Mails Cash Vaults.  Upon returning home from the night shift, Tommy discovers his wife’s  body floating in the bath. 

 

The inquests verdict that followed concluded suicide.  Convinced that the evidence into the circumstances surrounding his wife’s death had been manipulated, Tommy, embarks on a life-changing journey.  He concocts an ingenious and elaborate plan to achieve his ultimate revenge on the perpetrators of his wife’s premature death and to bestow the justice he has long since sought. 

 

The intrigue and deception involved in implementing Tommy’s plan leaves little room for error. 

 

After many months in the planning, Tommy and his three closest friends begin a voyage of discovery that takes them from the seedy parts of London, to the heavenly blue Seas of the Caribbean. 

 

First they must complete a truly daring robbery of thousands of pounds of cash collected from the Toll bridge; “The Queen Elizabeth II” on a busy Bank Holiday weekend, after it is has been transferred into Royal Mail’s own Cash Vaults. 

 

Tommy ingeniously utilises Royal Mail’s own transport network to smuggle the stolen cash out of the country, whilst leaving a secret trail of strategically placed evidence implicating Alexander as the intelligence behind the robbery.

 

Keeping one-step ahead of the Police investigation at all times, Tommy uncovers a web of corruption and deceit.
