A refreshingly strong Crime Thriller with a surprising twist. Strong, plausible characters with clever and intricate plotting keeps the reader intrigued. A good page turner. Will keep my eye out for this author's next installment.

I found it hard to put this book down once I had started reading it. There are many twists and turns and the excitement mounts with a need to get to the end to find out what happens you might be surprised.

A book that can be easy to forget to put down. The story can be complex at times but flows relatively well. The twist at the end is totally unexpected but completes the story well.
I have read better books but I own far worse.

Penny Black by Brian J Hibberd

This story gets off to a flying start and is gripping with intricate plotting and detailed description. The chilling opener has what it takes to hook and make the reader shiver, wondering what is coming next. This thought provoking story ensures admiration for the lead characters to continue to grow.

A really absorbing read

A dramatic start which really grabbed my attention. Some intrigue hinted at too, because we don’t know what Sofia was going to tell Tommy.
The description of Penny’s rape and by the loathsome Alexander was chilling and superbly written. The guy is a monster.
I’m now very interested in Sofia’s kidnapping and wonder what happened to Penny. Smashing piece – good luck with it.

So fast paced, it's supersonic!

This is a very well thought through novel. You clearly know where its going and your reader is going to want to follow where you lead.
